I was born on St Croix USVI where I matriculated in the local public educational system. My parents later relocated to Georgia secondary to local school overcrowding. Hence, I completed my high school education in the Georgia public school system. Even so, I was afforded the opportunity to attend Morehouse College where I attained the Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology. I later matriculated at Clark Atlanta University and earned the Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry. I obtained my Medica l Doctorate (MD) at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine.
